We have so little money we're not really going on a honeymoon, but staying home and taking a week off work, and going on little day trips to visit our local beauty that we never get to see. So the dinners will be fairly important.

FH and i decided that we aren't going to do a wedding gift for eachother because we need the money for the wedding. a couple of weeks ago FH got into a car accident (he's fine just slid on some snow) and it cost us $1000 to get fixed and that came out of the wedding fund. we'll prolly get something for eachother a little while after the wedding.
so on another note... i had my shower this weekend and it was soooooo nice. my 2 sisters planned the entire thing and it couldn't have been more perfect to be honest. plus i think it helps to know that my sister is an event planner so she knew what she was doing. the only thing was that it was very overwhelming, just because i don't really like being the center of attention. FH had gone out to get me coffee @ like 9:00 a.m. while i was getting ready (my shower was at 11:15ish ) and when he got home i poured some Kahlua in it. he just looked at me and laughed. and once i walked in the door the sisters put a mimosa in my hand (they know me well). everyone was so generous and thoughtful. one of my favorite gifts was a scrapbook that my FSIL had made FH and i for our first year of marriage. it was amazing, we call her the scrapbook queen. the only thing that drives me nuts is that FH and i decided that we really wouldn't use any of our stuff until we have a house and we're not going to be able to get a house for another year. but at least we know our kitchen will be completely stocked. ok enough of me rambling on.... needless to say it was fabulous. hope everyone else had a great weekend. soon enough we'll all be happily married!!!

That being said, with the 26... 25 days I have left to wait... I DON'T HAVE AN OFFICIAT! I'm a little stressed about that.
Otherwise all is well on this end. My step-dad probably won't be coming. Which, sucks but I understand the situation they are in. And my mom will be here. I am looking around at spa's & salons to find a place we can go get pedicures together.
I've bought all kinds of stuff this month. I'm very excited about everything I have recived and have coming. Just last night ordered gifts for his father (a photo frame/clock/pen holder engraved with "Those who love us, educate us". FFIL is a teacher. I'm trying to get tricky and find a way to give it to him on the wedding day, when everyone else will be getting their gifts, WITH a picture of us and FBIL & girlfriend ON the wedding day.) and a gift for my flower girl, a diamond braclet that will probably be too big for her... but she'll grow into it. I am also trying to figure out what to get my hair stylist. Some may know, my hair stylist is my dad's girlfriend. She's done two trials, she's dying my hair, cutting FH's hair.. also altering one of my BM dresses and... I need to get her a gift because she is doing it all free of charge for me.
Anyway... that's all I got. How's everyone else?

My FH travels a lot with his new job so trying to organize things when he is home is tricky. I am having a hard time with one thing and if anyone here has any ideas I would really appreciate it. I want an ivory tie with some sort of stripe or pattern for my FH for the wedding day. My dress is ivory and I would like him to match me and he wants to look different than the GM who are wearing yellow ties. BUT I CAN'T FIND AN IVORY TIE ANYWHERE!!! It is so frustrating! I have been looking for months and can't find one. I can't believe it is so hard! So if anyone knows of a good website or store to look at. I have friends in bigger cities that can look if I don't have the store here. You would be helping me so much if you found one you have no idea how much I have been stressing about a freaking tie! Thanks ladies! I hope you all are doing great! Oh and I have my bridal shower tomorrow at FMIL's so I am excited about that!

Well, my little brother is in jail, two weeks after getting out of rehab, and won't be out before the wedding unless someone bails him out. No one in our family is going to do that because we are all tired of rescuing him from his mistakes. So I had said all along that if my brother was in jail, I would ask my grandpa to walk me down. Well, I asked him today and HE SAID NO! I can't believe it! He wouldn't give me a reason, just said that he didn't think it would be a good idea. WTH?!! I don't understand it. I am so upset right now. I mean, I'm not against walking by myself I had just always envisioned someone walking me. I always knew it wouldn't be my dad,so my bro and grandpa were the next in my mind. I thought it would mean a lot to my brother and that it would be motivation for him to behave himself. Guess I was wrong. I just don't get it. Thanks for listening.

Love4Greys i'm sorry to hear about your dilemma. maybe with your brother and him realizing that no one is going to bail him out this time, this will be the kick in the @$$ for him to straighten his life out. and as for your grandpa i'm not sure what to tell you. maybe you could ask your mom to walk you down the aisle?! don't worry sweetie, all things happen for a reason. just let us all know how things turn out.

Love4Greys, I saw your post about your baker..that really sucks, I'm sorry! I'm pretty horrible with advice, but I can only imagine the frustration your feeling about having to buy three cakes.
My mom will be here in a week and half, and pretty much I just need to buy the food, figure out who wants to cook what, and get the music together.
Oh and I'm packing the house! Because we gave our notice at this crappy apartment and are moving somewhere that people don't just walk in our house when we aren't home. And we won't be involved in their drug raides.

I just wanted to make sure that everyone had a great time. The cake topper (expensive crystal monogram) disappeared before it got on the cake and never resurfaced. That was a huge bummer. Plus no one threw the rose petals at the end of the ceremony. Overall those are minor things. One thing that is going to be a huge hassle is that a lot of cards and gifts got separated so it may be impossible to figure out which gifts were from who. The good ones were taped on well :-). We went to St. Thomas for our honeymoon, it was beautiful! Now Im sad because Im sitting at home with a huge mess of boxes filled with stuff and no where to put it! lol. I will post a few on here but when I get the professional ones on pictage I will post a link.
