Hey girls!

I have posted on here once before, but got bogged down!

I'm getting married Sept. 27th!!  

Just wanted to share all the stuff I have done and picked out!!

**Some colors in the collage will be fall related than what shown**

SO what's left:

Invitations! EEK!

And all the little details

I still haven't gotten THE CALL that my dress is in

Dress: Maggie Sottero "Brittanya Lynette"

Flowers: Calla Lillies: ivory and mango, Roses: red, yellow, orange, and chocolate, small yellow flowers

Tuxes: Black with brown striped windsor tie and brown vest 

Bridesmaids: truffle David's Bridal

Favors: eco-friendly tulip bulbs (recycled box)

Table Numbers: number with picture of us at that age

Tiara: Ansonia

 

I think that covers it all!!

Hi Heather,

Very nice pictures... I love you wedding dress very pretty.  I think you are pretty much up to date with most of us.  Some weeks it goes faster or better then others.  Welcome to the board and sorry we skipped over it it gets pretty busy on here sometimes.

Thanks Tati.....I am glad to hear that they did a great job with your card box....I can't wait till mine comes in. We also had a hard time choosing tuxes! We were there for so long....I had no idea how much detail actually went into it till we actually went. Glad we got them picked out though. ;o)

Tati-Love the grooms cake! If we had seen it before we ordered ours we probably would have gotten that instead.

Heather-Who is the designer of the tuxes you selected? What you described is exactly what we are looking for and have been unable to find. It really shouldn't be that hard, but every place we go has the same three or four choices.

In other news, I found the perfect cardbox for us, and it is sooo inexpensive, (only $11.99!) but the only company I can find that sells it is out of stock. I called them to ask when more are expected in, and they didn't know, maybe two months or more. Here is a picture:

We would spray paint it gold and put silk fall leaves inside instead of rose petals. So I'm going to cross my fingers and hope one comes in. I figure I'll wait until the beginning of August - other birdcages are available that I could sub in if I had to.

Hi gregsgirl!

Love that birdcage!  And so cheap!  Wish I could have found something like that, I just picked up a small dark brown trunk that we'll just put a sign in front of and then lay down the fall leaves on the bottom.

The tuxes:  They can be found on Jim's Formal Wear. www.jimsformalwear.com.   On their website you can find retailers that carry their line of tuxedos.  They even carry Calvin Klein!  That specific tuxedo is part of the Platinum Collection (Calvin Klein is in the Diamond collection).  The brand is Republic.  They cost us 99.95 for the tux and then with shoe rental it came to 129.95 tax included.  If you find a Jim's Formal Wear retailer, they have soooo many tuxes to choose from.

OMG ladies only 3 months and 4 weeks away.,.I cant belive it im Kind of getting nervous. I kind of have to laugh about it because our friends are getting married August 16th and havent even really done much. I am so much more organized than them and have gotten a lot more done than them!!! Right now as we stand I have already done the 2nd visit with the pastor, so two more to go..then we will talk about the ceremony arrangments and what not. We had to do a compatibility test last weekend, So im intresed to see how those turned out.

The bridesmaid dresses are in and the invitations are done they look absolutly gorgeous. Hair.makeup is booked. It just seems like everything is coming along soo smoothly and nothing as really come out to strike me yet..knock on wood ..now its just finding everyones addresses and all the nasty i mean wonderful stuff...

Soon2B: It's very exciting we are almost there! 

Ok so we had an idea instead of just having names of bands on paper for the table names we made Labels of a 45 rpm record to put over top of a CD it's looks awesome.  The name is at the top so it's very noticable. If only I could get my stupid scanner to work I could put them on, I will see if FH can work his magic tonight!  The other thing is my aunt and uncle came up with an awesome idea.  Instead of just having a name chart they made a DVD with the same record picture but the name of the band and the name of the people seated at that table.  The record turns and plays a song from that band.  Like Bon Jovi we put Living on a prayer as the names scrolls on the screen.  We have a giant screen at the entrance and people will see it before then come into the hall.  This cost FH 10 foot massages for me to say yes too but hey I got the good deal!  :)

I can't believe it's less than 4 months now.  Wow!  I finally have an appt for my first dress fitting.  It has officially arrived at the store (someone went in the back and touched it for me, or so they said).  May 31st I will be having my fitting and my bustle done.  So exciting.

Girls,

I need some serious help with invitations.  The problem is that I can't decide!  So I'm going to post the pictures of them here and see what you all think.  Sometimes I want something really fallish and then sometimes I want something more traditional.  The thing I keep thinking is that I definately want something I can look back on in 10 years and still love them.

Hey ladies!! Im so close to finishing finals, my last two are tomorrow! I'm so excited! I hope you all are doing well, I've been doing pretty good, just working on the invitations for now, nothing much else has gone on. I think I'm just waiting for the BM dresses and for the guys to get measured and we should be pretty much set for the next month or so wen things start to get busy again lol.

 Mrsdaley-I love you collage, you have such cute stuff! I vote for either invite number 1 or 3- with one slightly in the lead. I like the simplicity and beauty of it :-) I hope you are doing well!

all sept 13 brides, yup, 3 months and 4 weeks to go! lol. I CANNOT believe how fast this is going. In the next two months we'll probably all be talking about our showers :-) I can't wait for mine!

Nikki--I'm so glad your having your first fitting soon! Just about two more weeks and we (hopefull) get to see pics of you in it! :-)

I hope you all are doing great!

Oh, and Rob got a new FULL TIME job (the company he works for now promised him full time and hired him, then they cut him down to three days and then two >:-( jerks. lol) but woo hoo! :-)
