Had a crazy wedding planning week last week and now its just little things. We still need to schedule a tasting because we couldn't decide what type of potatoes to include in the buffet. I'm hoping to do that late next week. Just got the stuff we need to decide reception music play and do not play lists and all the other special stuff we need music for... we have a few ideas, but probably won't really do anything until this weekend.
Flowers are in progress. I keep saying my mom and I are doing them, but really I only paid for them. My mom is doing all the work and its amazing even though she insisted she had no clue how to do it. Hopefully by time I go back next week she'll finish the rest... we needed to buy more pearl spray things. Next week my mom and I will finish the program and decorate the unity candle.
So not as much, but still plenty to do. I need to coordinate with the DJ, caterers and photographer the itinierary for the day and then write something down to send the bridal party members. I've got a rough idea since I've been talking to all three lately, but I just need to put it all together in my head. I also need to get in touch with the restaurant we're having the rehearsal dinner at and figure out how to do the preorder.
Went to visit inlaws and friends in southern illinois this weekend becaue we had our fantasy football draft. Got a nice surprise when the inlaws said they'd give us $200 to put toward the rehearsal dinner, which is awesome, becaues I had put $500 in the budget for the dinner... but in reality it probably will be over $700, so this is a big help. Both FILs and my parents are giving us cash wedding gifts instead of actually giving more to the wedding. I don't mind that since we got a bonus from FH's work, so we can pay for the wedding fairly comfortably, and then we'll have a good cash reserve for the honeymoon and/or beyond!
Two out of the three hotels we had blocks at expired today and I found out only two groups had reserved so far. We have another week and a half on the third, so I sure hope they get their reservations made and the 17 rooms left are enough... I know people will have a hard time getting hotel rooms if they don't get one in the block, but I guess I can't really do anything about it...
I think thats it for today. One month from tomorrow this will all be over! Woohoo!
P.S. Ushers probably would not be necessary; but I would probably have them myself.
Just kidding...so far all is going well. I'm not quite freaking out yet. Last night my MOH, FH, and I sat down and started making the favors. Originally we weren't going to do them, but I decided last min. that it would be fun (since our colors are chocolate and blue) to make choclolate covered pretzels and drizzle white chocolate that has been dyed blue, over them. So far we have probably a hundred or so done...who knows though.
