I know this doesn't belong....
but it get more traffic. I need some help on candy buffets. I don't even know where to start. We initially wanted a destination wedding, but may be having a homebound wedding. I'm totally syked (sp), but know I don't know where to start.... again. I love the candy buffet, but don't know anything about them or how to get the right candy or colors....... if anyone knows anything, please I will take any advice. Thanks :)

I know alot of brides have done this before on here so they can probably tell you better than I can but I'll give it a go.
Buy clear glass or plastic(?) containers in different shapes and sizes and put candy in them. They can be the color of your wedding or you can have a theme (old school candy, candy you grew up on but can't find in stores anymore. You would find them online some where) just for candy or just your favorites. Have shovels that are in candy stores for people to scoop candy and have cute little bags. The bags can be monogrammed or have cute little sayings. You can be really creative in this area.

I saw this in the post all your stuff thread - this is tanalynn's candy buffet

I thought this was one of the prettier ones that I have seen.
Maybe a good candy shoppe will cut you a bulk deal.

I am using extra large brandy glasses and martini glasses to hold my candy. I bought silver candy scoops on ebay fairly cheap.

If you go to m&ms.com you can have m&ms made in almost any color you want with you names or wedding date on them. Thats what were going to get they are adorable.Not ridiculously expensive for what they are either. You could layer the colors or just do vases of each color. Just an idea
