once we decided we wanted a winter wedding, i decided i wanted to avoid holidays - including valentine's day so that's why we chose the 1st weekend in Feb. It turned out that prices for flowers sky-rocket the week before and after v-day but aren't affected as much the rest of the month. we're not using a lot of flowers anyway - but yeah that is a bummer about the extra cost.
I'm still hoping to get some pictures outside! I get cold so easily, but i'll try to suck it up to get at least some shots.
There's a really pretty covered bridge at teh country club where my reception is... I was psyched to get pictures near it, but just last weekend the wedding coordinator at teh site informed me there was no way to get out to it in the snow... bummer! I guess the gazebo will have to do.
good for you for not being stressed! I'm starting to get a bit stressed... most of the big stuff is done but I'm trying to get some small stuff done and once my classes are done for the semester (I'm a grad student), I'll start getting all the extra projects going!
