Just wondering: are there any other February 2007 brides on here? I realize it's not a popular month for weddings( which is why we chose it), but I thought there may be a few ladies on here who are getting married in February 2007.
I'm February 10, 2007 also. We started dating February 5, 2002 and got engaged February 4, 2006 so February was the obvious month. Ya'll are rigth about vendors ebing easier to get than say like June or October, but... have you guys done the florist thing yet? Valentines day erally screwed me! Flowers are triple what they are any other month and of course I want red roses and callas. I already ordered silks, they've come in and they look 100% real. What has been ya'll experience with flowers? Oh and my other issue that I stupidly never thought about is that outside pictures will be practically impossible without us all freezing to death - bummer. Are you guys freaking yet? Only 3 months, I'm good now, but I have the bulk of stuff done.
once we decided we wanted a winter wedding, i decided i wanted to avoid holidays - including valentine's day so that's why we chose the 1st weekend in Feb. It turned out that prices for flowers sky-rocket the week before and after v-day but aren't affected as much the rest of the month. we're not using a lot of flowers anyway - but yeah that is a bummer about the extra cost.
I'm still hoping to get some pictures outside! I get cold so easily, but i'll try to suck it up to get at least some shots.
There's a really pretty covered bridge at teh country club where my reception is... I was psyched to get pictures near it, but just last weekend the wedding coordinator at teh site informed me there was no way to get out to it in the snow... bummer! I guess the gazebo will have to do.
good for you for not being stressed! I'm starting to get a bit stressed... most of the big stuff is done but I'm trying to get some small stuff done and once my classes are done for the semester (I'm a grad student), I'll start getting all the extra projects going!
We're getting married on the 24th - I always wanted a winter wedding... I am hoping it doesnt snow or blizzard or anything! I also hope it is not really cold as my dad and I are going to the church in a horse and carriage!
One good part that we found is that lots of things have been much cheaper! Our reception is $30/person cheaper! That has made us able to invite more people!
I cant wait for the honeymoon - St Lucia will be such a nice change from New England!
I am getting married february 17th. I like navy blue and white with maby red roses. My fiance says navy blue is to dark for a wedding. I have also thought about wine, and white, and red roses, or wine and navy blue with red and white roses. Please help!!!!! I live in North Carolina february is still kinda winter i guess.

My girl's dresses are hunter green and black - I dont think dark colours are bad for a wedding. Speaking as someone who just had to wear a wine colour dress, make sure that your bridesmaids are not redheads- I would have looked horrible in the wine dress had I not changed my hair colour for their wedding!
back when i was picking colors I read somewhere that they suggested Jewel-tone colors for winter weddings (unless of course doing a silvery-blue winter theme).... navy, wine, and hunter green certainly all fit that category
Look through lots of picks with your FH. Mostly the color is in the bridesmaids dresses and small details... dark colors will look nice and show up much better - especially for pictures in the snow!
Started Dating February 3 2000 so the wedding will be our 7 year anniversary! Got engaged February 28th 2004...so February was a good choice for us. We are having a winter wonderland theme! I can't wait! Sending out the invites on Monday!

I cant believe how soon it is coming up... I have way too many things to do - way too many little details to do along with working two jobs, Christmas, finishing a course and going on vacation for a week in December.... AGH! ( But I cant wait - I'm going to have a brilliant time at the reception!)
I know so many holidays and big things going on between now and the wedding! I have finals and projects, FH is starting a new job... attempting to do christmas shopping! but we'll make it girls!
Martins - what is the weather like in San Fran in Feb? FH and I fly there on Feb 4th to depart for a honeymoon cruise down the mexican riviera! I actually just went to san fran for my first time last week for a conference and I loved the city! I'm hoping it won't be too cold to site-see some more in Feb.
