Grandfather dance???

Hi ladies!
I am looking for some song suggestions... My parents both passed on when I was very young, so my grandfather, on my mom's side, is going to be walking me down the isle and dancing the father/daughter dance with me. I am having a hard time finding a song that fits. A few friends keep suggesting "Grandpa (tell me bout the good ol' days)" but I really dont think it is appropriate for a wedding. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!!!

I am getting married to my best friend on May 19th, 2007!

Why not ask him to choose the song?  I was having the same dilema with my father, and I asked him to choose.  If I really hated his choice, I would let him know.  He ended up choosing Moon River.  It is a perfect song for my dad and one of his favorites.

I am in a similar situation but I will be dancing with my brother, I've considered "My Wish" by Rascall Flatts and "Holes in the Floor of Heaven" by Steve Warner, I'm not sure how appropriate they would be for a grand- father-daughter dance though. If your grandfather has been somewhat of a stand in father for you consider a song that highlights your friendship or a song that is directed towards a dad but doesn't come out a say "dad" like Jessica Simpson's "You Don't Have To Let Go". Maybe in rememberance of your parents dance to the song he danced to with your mother. Just a few ideas... hope I helped!

What a wonderful world is good. I like that song by the Judds too,i dont think it would be inappropriate for a wedding. maybe you could just play it at some point.

through the years by kenny rogers. there are so many good songs, depends what kind of music you both like.
