Wedding color help!

My BM's dresses are the Blue velvet from David's Bridal. Afterhours does not have blue velvet for the gm's tuxes so Im trying to figure out what would compliment the blue velvet.

So far for wedding colors I have picked Blue. I was thinking possibly a silver to go with it? I need help!

Well, my FH and his GM's went two weeks ago to get fitted for tuxes, and I trusted them to pick out the style and colors.  My dresses are Apple Red from David's Bridal, and I gave them a swatch of the color, which was probably unnecessary seeing as they also went to After Hours.

After looking at the vests in that same red, they thought it looked horrible - two of the guys have sort of barrel chests, and it was honestly overwhelming to have the vests be that bright red.  They ended up picking the paisley vest in silver - and I think it compliments the red very nicely, even though my colors are not silver.  It's a neutral color - not a bright silver, because of the stitching detail, and it looks lovely.  My FH will be wearing a white vest with an ascot which should be interesting ;p

So yeah, I would definitely say go for the silver.

My girls are wearing a Claret red. (Our colors are claret and champagne) My dress has champagne-colored trim on it so my FH is wearing a champagne vest and tie...we went to After Hours and they had a vest/tie that matched PERFECTLY! We got lucky! I originally wanted the guys to wear the same claret color as the girls, but the vest style my FH is getting doesn't have the same red color for the guys. They could always try a red color in a different style, but I'd like for them all to wear the same STYLE vest, just a different color. If we don't go with the claret, we'll just do a simple black for the guys. I think in your case, silver would look really good with the blue! Go for it!

I LOVE the paisley vest at Afterhours in the charcoal (the dark, dark grey).  That would go well with the apple red.  I've also seen weddings with the apple red dresses that went with black vests underneath.  That looked really sophisticated as well.

I'm having "wine" bridesmaids dresses from David's.. the guys have the same wine color for their vests and tie.  Hopefully it works out :)

i didn't give our gm the choice, our bm's have two difrent color  dresses one is pool and the other truffle (three of each), so they got to pick between them (they are buying them) and since our gm's rent they have to get the vest and tie that gose with there partner! i was lucky after hour has the same color's to the t.

Im thinking Blue for the girls. Silver for the guys. The bms and gms will have white calla lillies and me and fh will have orange calla lillies...as for wedding colors would it be blue and orange? Im clueless. If it helps for the reception and a wedding on the beach our centerpieces are glass bowls with sand and shells with a pillar candle, favors are the clear glass beach candles.

I don't tiink you necessarily have to have the same exact color match for the  vests to go with the dress. My recommendation woiuld be Silver or Gold. I had pink fuschia dresses from DB and my Husband chose silver to go with them & it looked quite nice.
