Question:
Should my fiancé and I invite both members of recently divorced couple to our wedding? My parents were close friends with the couple. They've stayed in touch with the wife, but haven't seen much of her ex since the split.
Answer:

It pretty much depends on why your folks haven't seen the husband. If there was a falling out, or circumstances have made it uncomfortable for your parents to be in contact with him, he can be excluded from the guest list. But if distance or busy schedules are the culprit, an invitation to your wedding would be a nice gesture. As a courtesy, let each party know that the other may attend; if both plan to make it, seat them at separate tables and follow the same escort policy you have for other single guests.
