Stephen Russell

Earlier this year, at the Brides Local Magazines cover shoot, this was the most popular ring on the set; it was selected for several cover tries, including the one shown here. Encrusted with rows upon rows of icy diamonds, with a bezel-set Asscher-cut center stone, the circa-1925 platinum ring from Stephen Russell is wonderfully photogenic thanks to, well, its magnitude, first of all, but also because it fuses full-on glitz with clean, modern details. As fate would have it, you can't see the ring in our final cover photo selects (which happens a lot, but that's how it goes), so we're showcasing it here in fond remembrance of its brief moment in the spotlight.
