When it was announced that Kate Middleton's sister Pippa would serve as her maid of honor, leading a parade of girls ages three to eight, we were a little worried for her. Would she be stuck wearing a froufrou dress to match her mini counterparts? So we were obviously thrilled when Pippa emerged on April 29th wearing a gorgeous, modern, ivory satin-based crepe gown with a cowl front by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. Even though she was Kate's head bridesmaid, her look would certainly work for a bride wanting a sleeker, more glamorous wedding-day style. And we're very much in favor of bridesmaids wearing white, as well—it's how they did it in olden times, after all.
