The Academy Awards may be Hollywood's biggest night, but they also offer up some serious bridal inspiration.

Hollywood's most infamous event — the 87th Academy Awards — dazzled with heartfelt acceptance speeches, impressive cinematic feats, and gorgeous gowns that will inspire any kind of bride and her bridal party. Celebrities from Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Lopez, and Lupita Nyong'o to Lady Gaga and Jennifer Aniston hit the red carpet at the Oscars in wedding-ready style.

Witherspoon looked the part of the perfect minimalist bride, though she walked the red carpet as a best actress nominee for her role in Wild. Lopez stunned in a nude glittering ball gown by Elie Saab, while Marion Cotillard took things Old Hollywood in '60s-inspired Christian Dior Haute Couture. Nyong'o's Calvin Klein Collection backless gown (which featured 6,000 pearls!) was made for an avant-garde bride, while Kerry Washington's ivory Miu Miu had a healthy dose of whimsy fit for an intimate ceremony.

Brides-to-be will find inspiration in less-obvious bridal styles, too: Emma Stone stunned in a '20s-inspired glittering gown by Elie Saab, while model and John Legend's wife Chrissy Teigen killed it in a sky blue Zuhair Murad number featuring out-of-this-world beading.

Plus, a few engaged stars (possibly) gave us a sneak peek of their own wedding-day ensembles: Soon-to-be Mrs. Taylor Kinney a.k.a. Lady Gaga donned a white Azzedine Alaïa gown — paired with elbow-length red rubber gloves, of course — only fit for a brazen bride like herself. And Jennifer Aniston wore a head-to-toe beaded Versace gown in a shimmery nude hue — a look we could totally see her walk down the aisle in to marry longtime fiancé Justin Theroux.

Lupita Nyong'o in Calvin Klein Collection

Now this is how you make an entrance: All eyes were on Nyong'o when she stepped out in a custom Calvin Klein Collection dress featuring a high collar, plunging neckline, open back and 6,000 pearls (!!!). Though this is in no way made for a traditional bride, we'd love to see this amazing gown make its way down an aisle.
