Prince William and Kate Middleton's Relationship: A Timeline of Their Royal Love Story

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have had many milestones in their 10-plus year relationship. In honor of their third wedding anniversary, we're taking a look back at their biggest moments.

It certainly doesn't feel like it's been three years since Kate Middleton stepped out of a vintage Rolls Royce at Westminster Abbey in her Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding dress to marry Prince William and become the Duchess of Cambridge, and yet, here we are! But before they tied the knot at the royal wedding, the couple's road to romance was long and well documented. Wills and Kate's epic April 29, 2011, wedding was the cap to a nearly 10-year relationship that reads like a real-life fairytale. Seriously: A small-town girl, born to self-made parents, falls in love with a handsome prince at college and lives happily ever after. It sounds too good to be true, but Kate made it happen.

From their earliest days as peers at St. Andrews University, when Prince William bid $200 to see Kate walk in a charity fashion show, to their recent royal tour of New Zealand and Australia (with baby Prince George in tow, of course!), their courtship and marriage has been historic, romantic, and unbelievably adorable — and, fortunately for royal-watchers everywhere, beautifully photographed.

What moments stand out the strongest? When did they make it absolutely clear that they would eventually marry? We found the moments in their love story that show why and how they became the picture-perfect family they are today.

In honor of their third anniversary, we're looking back at these biggest milestones — and our favorite moments. (Obviously, there will be many more to come!) Click on to see them all!
