"I snapped a photo of the bride peeking out from her waiting room at the back of the church, checking out the guests as they arrived for the ceremony. Compositionally, I love how clean this image is. There's very little information—just two fingers, part of a face, an eye, a curtain—but you can discern the anticipation and excitement she's feeling. It also captures the inherent mystery and femininity that surround a bride on her wedding day."

For the fourth year running, we asked members of the Wedding Photojournalist Association to send us their favorite candid shots.
