A recipe for luminous skin

I'm obsessed with attaining naturally luminous skin. Throughout my years of research, I've found some ideas that were completely insane (like the time I made an entire face mask made of toothpaste to get rid of blemishes). What's my latest remedy that's actually effective? A juice made of apple, carrot, and ginger. (It's also a great energy pick-me-up.) And although brides are probably already glowing (an engagement would do that to anyone), it doesn't hurt to give your complexion a little boost before the big day. Juice two apples, three carrots, and 1/4 inch of ginger root, or go to your local juice shop and have it whip up the concoction. (You could also use a blender, but it will be thicker and harder to get down.) Drink a glass a day for about two weeks before your wedding. In no time, you'll start seeing the gorgeous results: a healthy glow and smoother skin. —Elizabeth Swanson, BRIDES Fashion & Beauty Department
