Don't get us wrong: We love watching Mariah Carey and James Packer get wedding day ready and oogling over Carey's megawatt 35-carat engagement ring, but we still get a little nostalgic for the quintessential early oughts coupling between the pop diva and Nick Cannon. Carey and Cannon said "I do" on the Bahamian sand in 2008, before expanding their family with their addition of their adorable little twins. The pair ultimately split in 2014, but if that supersized sparkler on her finger is any indication, Carey is still a total romantic at heart. But what about Cannon? Well, the America's Got Talent host just revealed if he has plans to head back to the altar and his answer isn't exactly what we wanted to hear...
It looks like we won't see Cannon in a wedding tux anytime soon — or ever again, in fact! "Never," the TV host divulged when asked by reporters if he was ever going to get married again. What?!
"That messes everything up," Cannon explained, according to People. "That takes the fairytale out of it. Cinderella didn't get married, she just lived happily ever after." Okay first of all, Cinderella was totes in a wedding dress at the end of that movie. And has Cannon forgotten about that time he renewed his vows with Carey at Disneyland, Prince Charming outfit and all?

While we're totally bummed that we probably won't ever get to see Cannon take another turn as groom, it seems that his new nuptial philosophy is at least working for him. Cannon has been romantically linked to TLC member Chilli as of late, after the pair collaborated for a music video. "We've got an amazing music video together," Cannon told People. "And the chemistry is undeniable. I'm telling you, it's real. I'm having fun, she's having fun."
Maybe he shouldn't discount marriage just yet!
