The 3 Things to Remember if You're Having a Bridesman

Bridesmaids, Etiquette

Is one of your BFFs a guy? That's no reason to leave him out of your wedding party and all the pre-wedding festivities that go along with it! Instead, select him as a bridesMAN and add him to your bridal party gang. Of course, with a co-ed bridal party, there are a few things you should definitely keep in mind. Here are three things our experts want you to remember if you've chosen a bridesman.

You may need to change up the game plan.
Is your maid of honor so ready to throw you the lingerie shower of your dreams? Chances are your bridesman may not be comfortable in a room full of ladies while they shower you with lacey undies and bralettes. Instead, consider something a little more guy-friendly. That doesn't mean it can't be girly, but save that silky underwear party for another time.

His wardrobe should be a mix of the bridesmaids' and the groomsmen's.
If your ladies are wearing coral, and the groomsmen are wearing light gray, put your bridesman in a coordinating suit with a tie or pocket square to match your bridesmaids' dresses. That way he'll blend seamlessly into the wedding party photos while still matching the group in your bridal party pics.

He won't need quite so much time to get ready.
Even if you've planned for you and your bridal party to spend the morning of your wedding being pampered and sipping champagne (and your bridesman wants to be part of the fun!), he may not have the patience for four hours of hair and makeup styling when all he needs is a quick shave and some hair gel. Schedule your morning a little more intentionally, with mimosas and breakfast before the primping begins so he can join you and then head out for a few hours before it's time for pictures. You could also ask him to pick up lunch on his way over, then spend an hour or so with you all before it's time to put on your wedding dress.
