These Iconic Celebrity Brides Are #WeddingDayGoals

All brides are beautiful but some are just, well, iconic. And our newest BRIDES video is celebrating those lovely ladies whose weddings will go down in history, whether due to their enviable style, their "I do" opulence, or their just plain fabulousness. From Old Hollywood starlets to modern day darlings, we're going gaga over these iconic bridal beauties.

First, we're throwing it back to the black and white wedding photos of Old Hollywood's most glamorous stars. These are the ladies who started the trends that are still taking up residence in wedding dress boutiques across the globe. Audrey Hepburn was effortlessly elegant (duh) in her LWD — that's little white dress — for her courthouse wedding to Andrea Dotti. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Taylor proved herself to be the bridal style icon in her not one, not two, but eight weddings. You'd think that after so many rounds of "I dos," her wedding dresses would just all run together in a blur of white. (We know that if it were us, by Wedding #7, we'd just be rolling up in a pair of sweatpants!) But all eight of Taylor's big day looks were distinctly memorable and heartbreakingly beautiful, from her classic 1950's wedding dress for her wedding to Conrad "Nicky" Hilton to the green silk hooded dress Taylor wore when she tied the knot with Eddie Fisher.

And we can't forget about the royal weddings that are seared into both history books and your "I do" inspiration Pinterest board. Queen Elizabeth set royal trends when she walked down the aisle back in 1947 in a duchesse satin long sleeved wedding gown with floral embroidery and 10,000 (yup...) crystal and pearl appliqués. The designer, Norman Hartnell, said that his inspiration for the creation was Botticelli's painting of Primavera and the gorgeous gown's 13-foot silk train definitely led the way for Princess Diana and Kate Middleton's future frocks.

Remember the now-iconic Yves Saint Laurent smoking jacket Bianca Jagger donned for her courthouse nuptials to Mick Jagger? Wedding style history was made that day in 1971. Or how about the more recent celebrity weddings that sent us reeling with their fantastic fashion or sheer opulence? Here's looking at you Kimye!
