It's one thing to ask your bridesmaids to match their shoes or jewelry, but when hair dye starts getting involved, you know that a bridezilla is entering the building. We've heard some bold and brazen bride requests — but this one may just take the (wedding!) cake. In the latest news from bridezilla world, a bridesmaid received a request from her friend and bride-to-be to dye her naturally red hair brown for the wedding.

The bridesmaid, who said she is a "natural ginger," received an email from the bride-to-be, which requested that she dye her hair to fit in with the other 'maids, according to the Independent. The redheaded lady in waiting took to Reddit to discuss her concerns about adhering to the bride's demands.

"So I've known my friend, who I'll refer to as Ella, since I was a child as she's the daughter of family friends but we've only become close in the past 2 or 3 years. She recently became engaged, and I readily accepted her offer to be part of her bridal party. Yesterday morning I received an email from Ella." According to this bridesmaid, in the email the bride had detailed how she wanted her bridesmaids to look — which included asking the bridesmaid to dye her hair for the wedding so she matched all the other ladies, who were brunettes. The bride wrote, "You'll need to dye your hair for the day, I'll take you to my hairdresser and cover the cost :)." For this bridesmaid, her hair had never been mentioned before this email. "I'm a natural ginger, so it's not like I have an outrageous hair colour, although Ella and her other bridesmaids are all brunettes." Quite the shock to get this type of request, that's for sure.

But that wasn't the end of the situation. The bridesmaid responded to her friend's ridiculous demands, noting, "I texted Ella about it, she told me my hair would clash with the wedding colours and that brides get a veto over pretty much every aspect of her bridesmaids' appearances. She also mentioned my hair is quite 'attention-grabbing' and I'd take away from the cohesiveness of the group. I told her I wasn't comfortable dying my hair." The bride's response? "She said she'd get back to me but hoped I'd reconsider." Clearly, this bride is taking her aesthetics to an unprecedented level. Dresses aren't the only things that can be mismatched — hair counts too!

The worst part isn't even that the bride asked her 'maid to do this. It's that some of the other bridesmaids have been texting the redheaded bridesmaid trying to convince her to dye her hair! "I've gotten some messages from the other bridesmaids who are telling me I should just do it." While the bride offered to cover the cost (so saying you can't afford it won't work in this case), it's still a pretty tricky situation to be in...and the answer to the predicament probably includes getting some new friends.

The responses to her Reddit post, of course, ranged from users feeling it was "serious bridezilla nonsense" to the fact that the bridesmaid "can count herself lucky the bride isn't asking the whole bridal party to get the same nose job," and that "dying her hair will actually make the bridesmaid stand out MORE. "Everybody that knows the bridesmaid will be more drawn to the change, it will actually detract from the bride to have such a big appearance change like that on display." Some users even suggested the bridesmaid back out of the wedding altogether. Decisions, decisions.

Regardless of how she ends up handling it, a situation like this begs the question: As a bride, how far would you go (if at all) when asking a bridesmaid to conform to your requests? Let's just say that depending on your answer, there might be a little of this (below) from someone in your bridal party if you demand too much.
