Wandering Tree Estate, North Barrington
Wandering Tree Estate is as whimsical a venue for your wedding as its name. A private luxury estate located in the northern suburbs, this luxe estate has a private 4-acre lake, garden railways, and 10 acres of beautiful prize-winning gardens, including rose gardens, a woodland garden featuring a magnificent 400-year-old oak tree as its centerpiece, and a Shabui Japanese stroll garden with seven waterfalls and beautiful cherry trees. For those who want to allow their guests the luxury of staying on the grounds, the estate can be reserved exclusively for an entire weekend. If that's not impressive enough, the swan rental, floating lanterns, and groomsmen's arcade might do the trick. To arrive at your ceremony, the Wandering Tree features a ride-on train, which is ideal for fun photo ops. Brides with big families — don't fret — as the maximum seated outdoors is 1000, and the maximum standing outdoors is 5000 — so there's plenty of room for your entire guest list (and neighborhood!).
