If you've found yourself doubting your personal style while wedding dress shopping, you're definitely not alone. Words like "boho," "romantic" and "indie" bride are thrown around pretty casually in the bridal world, but can actually stress brides into subscribing to a "look" to score their dream gown.

While you may love to dress to trends on the everyday, chances are you're not looking to shimmy into your reception costumed up for Coachella, right? So how does a bohemian bride find the perfect wedding look?

We recently had the chance to chat with Lovely Bride's Lanie List, who helped us better define what it means to be an "indie bride". As the founder and proprietress behind Lovely — a collective of stores across the country who cater to the modern-minded bride — Lanie buys for the bride who loves trends, but stays true to herself. As she perfectly puts it, "Although we push the boundaries of fashion, we are also 'not too cool for tulle' and have something for every bride who is young at heart and contemporary in her mindset."

Here are some of Lanie's top style tips and pieces of advice for the "Indie Bride" in all of us.

Think beyond the big-name designers and consider some of the newer, hotter names in the market
"Everyone is loving Rue De Seine, Katie May, and Anna Campbell these days. They hit all of the right trends right now, but do it in a way that is very personal to their designer aesthetics," says List.

If you like the notion of bohemian style, consider a long-sleeved silhouette
"Long sleeves are a chic and bohemian look that we are loving on our brides. The great thing about it is that it can please the moms but have a great modern look with see-through lace or beadwork that covers in just the right places," says List.

Think beyond the flower crown
"The (trendy) flower crown is evolving into a more fauna, bridal halo jeweled look. Couple with a bridal cap for the ceremony, this is a an essential boho finish," List explains.

It's ok to add a little special something to your hair and makeup
"Although everything is very natural for the bohemian bride, with beach waves, and glowing pink or nude makeup, some brides are now throwing in a gold touch in with makeup or gold foil touches," List says.

You can capture an indie look without looking costumed. Just try these on-trend, but still-classic styles...
"Two piece sets with a crop top and full skirt are very on point right now. We are also loving interesting 'cut work' where see-thru lace paneling extends to the front, or the hip, for a sexy twist on a classic," List explains.

New designers are creating sexy AND romantic styles— stay true to yourself while dress shopping, and you'll find hot new designers who suit your style
"We are really excited about Limor Rosen, a new designer out of Israel who has lots of sexy illusion work in her designs. But we are also experiencing a return to romanticism with Alexandra Grecco. As we've said before, we are not too cool for tulle," says List.

Bridal and runway trends may be returning to a sense of classic elegance, and that's cool, too
"Bridal trends have been faster than ever so there is not much on the runway that we are not already seeing in bridal fashion. The 70's boho and 90's modernism are alive and well in the bridal world. I think what we are all craving next is a return to some classic structure that we are starting to see come out of the likes of Anne Barge, Theia, and Kate McDonald," List says.

Still need help deciding what your "indie, modern, boho" bridesmaids will wear?Lovely can help decode that, too
"We just relaunched with some great structured and contemporary pieces for the more modern and fashion forward brides, bridesmaids and MOBs who have a modern mind and aesthetic," says List. "We cater to wedding parties and occasions, including engagement parties, bachelorette and rehearsal dinners."
