Below are real brides' stories of how their fiancés proposed — and caught it on camera.

"I was in Paris for business, and Terry decided to join me. He told me we had a date at a gallery opening. On our way, we took a walk through the Tuileries Garden — and Terry drops down on not one, but both knees — to ask for my hand in marriage. I was overjoyed! After I said yes we turned around and to my surprise he hired a local photographer, Pierre Torset to capture every moment!" —Porsha (Above)

"Bryan is in the US Navy and was home for a brief visit. Months before his visit I had planned for us to have photos taken together. Unknown to me, he planned to propose at the photoshoot! All our loved ones knew it was coming, except me. As we sat down at the shoot, I had my back to him when I heard him say 'whats this?' When I turned around he was on one knee! It was such a surreal and special moment, and we're lucky enough to have it captured forever in photos!" —Abigael

"Brandy is such a city gal. She was getting very excited to move to the city, and so after visiting various spots in Manhattan one adventure day, I took her to Dumbo where she had always wanted to go. As she took out her phone to snap a picture of the Manhattan bridge, I put the ring in front of her camera and dropped down on one knee to pop the question." —James

"Having recently moved to California from Ohio, it was my first birthday without my sisters there and I was bummed about it. That Thursday while John was (supposedly) at work, I heard a knock on my door and the biggest surprise — my Mom and two sisters standing there with John — who shared that we were going wine tasting in Napa (Castle Di Amoroso) for my birthday! When we got to the vineyard, John wanted to take a pic in front of the beautiful entrance. We went to the top and John turned to me and said, 'Alie, I brought you here to this winery because it means The Castle of Love and I love you so much...' That's about all I can remember because that's when I realized what was happening and I was just caught up in the moment! He then got down on one knee and asked, 'Will you marry me?' Of course I said yes. And then we drank wine all day to celebrate!" —Alie

"I was given a card to go to the spa in Le Meridien, so I thought I'd just go for a mani and pedi — and maybe meet a friend for dinner after. Next thing I know, someone picked me up in a private car from the hotel and brought me to an undisclosed location — my favorite NYC icon, the Empire State Building! And there was my then-boyfriend waiting for me. I was so overwhelmed from strangers taking pictures of us when he got onto one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. But then, there was one person taking photos who wouldn't stop. Apparently, he hired a photographer to capture the moment!" —Princess
