"I go to school in Birmingham, and he lives in Stoke (England), so we visit each other every weekend. On one of the weekends, Matt asked me to drive home so we could go for a walk. So I did, and we brought my dog — and we walked up on of the hills to Hen Cloud. When we got there, Matt said that he'd brought a tripod so we could have a photo together, which I thought was a fab idea since we usually have to ask people to take photos of us together when we're out walking. Matt set the camera up and told me he'd put it on a 10-second self timer (he was actually video recording), and I was smiling at the camera waiting for the photo! Then he got down on one knee and proposed! I was very shocked, but I was also really, really happy. it was such a special moment in a place we both love, with my dog, and it's a moment we'll treasure forever!" —Tamar

"My fiancé took me on a trip to Playa Mujeres, Mexico to kick off the new year. Halfway through our trip he surprised me with a private dinner on the beach. We were treated to five courses and shared a dance while a saxophone player serenaded us. When the dessert was about to be served, our waiter explained to me that my fiancé had helped him prepare this very special dessert. He set down a covered platter in front of me and as he removed the cover I saw the words 'will you marry me' written in chocolate — surrounded by chocolate-covered strawberries! It was a truly magical evening, and I couldn't have been more surprised!" —Amy

"He took me to a local state park because it was where he was supposed to tell me he loved me for the first time five years ago, but I ruined that plan by telling him I loved him the night before we went. So we went on a walk, and as we arrive at the top of the cliff, I jokingly brought up how we should've been here five years ago. Then he proceeded to tell me that he brought me there for another reason — and got down on one knee. Meanwhile his mom and her boyfriend were hiding behind a rock taking pictures. To top it off, after I said 'yes' he had one red rose for every year we've been together — and my favorite bottle of wine waiting for me. As a last surprise, we were heading back to the car when he told me he planned a special dinner to celebrate at his mom's house later that evening. I'm a lucky girl." —Jessica

"My daughter was swept away to Colorado for their 6 year anniversary of dating, along with her birthday. They arrived in Colorado and rented a car to drive to a secluded place he had rented for them to be pampered. They are both into the beautiful outdoors of hiking, biking, and enjoying the wonderful hot springs Colorado has to offer. At the end of their romantic week together he decided to hike to a special spot with an amazing waterfall. He patiently waited for people to pass by while they rested at this beautiful waterfall. When the time was right, he swept her up and reached into his pocket and got down on one knee to ask her what she was doing for the rest of her life! She said 'Mom, I was in awe. He bought the most amazing ring, it was exactly the right style and size, and it fit perfectly! Of course I said yes! And by that time we were surrounded by many people congratulating us. He then picked me up and I wrapped myself around him and planted the biggest kiss ever.'" —Susan
