Planning a wedding in paradise? Do your friends and family a favor and send them home with something that'll take them on a trip down memory lane. Well that, or a gift that they can actually use while they're in town! Either way, here are 6 destination wedding favor ideas we think your guest will totally appreciate.

1. Local craft beer or wine
Nowadays, almost every town (large and small) has a microbrewery or vineyard concocting a local "flavor", notes Florida Keys wedding planner Lynn D'Ascanio of D'Asigner Events. "Out of town guests love to taste these spirits in their welcome bags. Include a keepsake bottle opener and you have a winning combination." Done and done!

2. Native spices
Spice up your guests' lives with, you guessed it, spices! For example, a destination wedding that takes place on the Spice Island means that your guests can bring the flavors of the Caribbean back with them after the festivities have ended, points out Florida-based wedding planner Aviva Samuels of Kiss The Planner. "The island of Grenada is known for its nutmeg, cloves, ginger, allspice and mace, just to name a few. Small jars of local spices placed in a satchel or tied together with ribbon makes a lovely and useful favor for your guests once they return home." You can even suggest some great dishes to add the spices to.

3. Fun in the sun necessities
Think sunblock or aloe for tropical destinations and bottled water, especially in Mexico, says Chancey Charm Charlotte wedding planner Miranda Tassi. "Throwaway flip flops for the pool are great too, as are custom beach bags and/or beach towels. And you can never go wrong with personalized leather luggage tags!"

4. A cultural experience on the house
In addition to providing your guests with city guides and giving them the full lowdown on fun stuff to do in the area, you can also thank them for traveling all this way by inviting them to participate in a cool outing complements of you, the couple, notes celebrity event designer Brett Galley of Hollywood POP.

5. Locally known edibles
Event planner and designer Kristine Cholakian Cooke of Simply Charming Socials recommends looking for any form of tasty edibles that the town is known for, such as taffy by the sea, hand pies in the south, or jams and honey harvested from local farms. "The goal is to have your guests come away from the weekend totally immersed in the culture of your wedding destination." And what better way to do that than through taste?

6. A gift card to somewhere in town
Instead of a take home cookie made by a local bakery, Robyn Bruns, president of Red Letter Event Planning, suggests providing a $5 gift card to that same spot so your guests can enjoy a coffee and pastry for breakfast on you the next day. Just make sure the place is convenient to wherever your guests are staying.

7. Hangover kits
Because let's be real, at a destination wedding, your guests are more likely to party hardy! Include a bottle of water or Gatorade, snacks, Advil, eye drops, and some mints, advises celebrity wedding planner Sharon Sacks of Sacks Productions.
