It's a bride's worst nightmare. The wedding venue is bought and paid for, the flowers are arranged, the champagne is poured, the veil is on — but no sign of the groom. Unfortunately for actress Renee Zellweger's beloved character, Bridget Jones, that's exactly what happens during her nuptials to Mr. Darcy — or at least, so it seems in the latest trailer of the highly anticipated Bridget Jones's Baby.

Selfishly for us, the latest installment of the Helen Fielding trilogy, Bridget Jones Baby has other plans for actress Renee Zellweger that don't seem to involve the traditional idea of "happily ever after" — but they're entertaining none the less. The Daily Mail offered an exclusive sneak peek of the new movie, premiering this fall — with all the key players back in the game.

Bridget Jones is single again, and after some Celine Dion-listening, cupcake-gorging, and all-around wallowing in singledom, she's back in business. Spinning classes, hitting on (and getting turned down by) Ed Sheeran, and crowd surfing — just a few of her new favorite things. But, the plot thickens (as do her hips, when she realizes she can barely pull up her jeans) — and this time it's not because she ate the extra slice; it's because she's pregnant. The more pressing question, however, is: who is her baby daddy?

Even though the trailer shows a wedding gone sour, Colin Firth (Mr. Darcy) is apparently still in the picture. In addition to Mr. Darcy, though, there's a new man on the scene: Patrick Dempsey (formerly known as McDreamy for all of you Grey's Anatomy fans). Love triangle in a Bridget Jones movie, check. And we're not complaining. Here's the sitch: Bridget has told both of her suitors that the baby is theirs — and actually has her OBGYN (played by the ever-so-lovely Emma Thompson) do two separate eight-week doctor's appointments so that she doesn't have to divulge her dirty little secret.

The real-life twist? Director Sharon Maguire actually shot the endings three different ways — and none of the actors in the film actually know who IS the father or how the movie ends. "It's kind of brilliant. None of the cast knows who fathered Bridget's baby or who she'll choose as her beau. The plan is to keep us all in the dark, right up to the premiere," Zellweger shared with Britain's Sunday Express.

The movie is set to premiere September 16, 2016, and we can't wait to see who is England's sweetheart's baby daddy (and how her wedding scene plays out). It'll be a nail-biter, that's for sure!
