We are nearing the end of our Bachelor journey, with just two short weeks until the finale we still don't know whoBen Higgins ends up with. But the Bachelor star did just dropp a major bombshell. Higgins confirmed for the first time this morning that he is in fact engaged.
Following last night's dramatic episode Higgins finally announced during an interview with Good Morning America that he is officially off-the-market. "You don't know how much stress and weight that is, to carry for so long," he said. "Good Morning America, I am engaged! Yes, finally!" He has yet to drop the name of his fiancé but after last night's episode we're pretty sure it has to be one of the two ladies he has left.
During one-on-one dates with Lauren and Jojo, both women told Higgins "I love you." Higgins then broke a major Bachelor rule during Monday's episode when he dropped the L-bomb to both Lauren and Jojo. Yikes! Making things even more dramatic (which we totally didn't think was possible), contestant Caila also said "I love you" during her date. Unfortantely for her, Higgins didn't say it back. "I am in love with two women here and I just couldn't say it back to you," Higgins told Quinn during the episode before he sent her home.
Since we know how Higgins feels about both of the women left, we have a feeling this will be basically "the most dramatic finale of all time." Chris Harrison promises every finale will be the most dramatic yet but this time, we think he might be right. The preview for the finale promises lots of tears — of course, a Neil Lane diamond engagement ring (a Bachelor staple after all), and now we know it has a proposal! Well, hopefully.
Higgins didn't exactly confirm that he proposes on the show or that his fiancé is one of the contestants, but we're pretty sure that gorgeous engagement ring is on Lauren or Jojo's hand. In just two short weeks we'll be able to stop speculating and can focus on more important things, like who the next Bachelorette will be...
