Forget the drugstore box of candy and get your fella something he'll really appreciate this Valentine's Day. This DIY wood grain flask looks ultra-trendy — and dare we say expensive — but, it's incredibly easy to pull off. (You won't have to call in your Pinterest-queen maid of honor for this one!) Best of all, your groom is bound to get plenty of use out of this DIY trinket, whether he stashes it in his tux jacket on the wedding day or brings it along to sports games with the guys. Molly Madfis of Almost Makes Perfect lends us her crafty skills for this personalized V-Day flask.

What you need:

1. Cut out a piece of your contact paper to fit around the flask.

2. If you want to personalize your flask with your fiancé's name, do that now. But practice a lot first, if you need to! (Check out our simple guide to DIY calligraphy here!)

3. Peel off the backside and gently place your contact paper down. Don't worry about a little overlap on the top or bottom if you have it, just make sure you like the placement of the name.

4. Slowly press down on the contact paper, one inch at a time, making sure you rub out the air bubbles as you go (you can also use a credit card or a squeegee). Continue along the back and you can choose to either overlap the paper or cut it, depending on how your grain matches up.

5. Using your X-acto knife, slowly run the blade at the exact angle of the flask's edges. This will remove all of the excess paper.

And voilà! You can even go the extra mile and fill it up with his favorite booze. His groomsmen will think you're the coolest bride on the block.
