Stop and smell the roses! The coming of spring means tons of flowers popping up through the snow — and on the bridal runways. The couture wedding dresses of the most recent bridal fashion week were blooming with the prettiest of petals and floral details.

Before you do your best Meryl Streep impression ("Florals for spring? Groundbreaking..."), know that these garden-inspired gowns have gotten a seriously modern makeover. With 3-D texture, colorful embroidery, and plenty of sheer details, these floral frocks are anything but wilted.

3D floral appliqués and intricate embroidery popping off the runway looks of Monique Lhuillier, Atelier Pronovias, and Angel Sanchez caught our eye and got us dreaming of warmer days — and summer weddings! — ahead. Laser-cut into dainty organza, silks, and tulle, these three-dimensional blooms are whimsical, feminine, and oh-so-modern. Say hello to the summer wedding staple of 2016.
