A 2016 ACM Award nomination and a healthy baby girl?! Jana Kramer is one lucky lady! The country superstar gave birth to her first child this Sunday, a daughter named Jolie Rae Caussin. And if that wasn't enough happy news, on Monday morning the new mom found out that she's been nominated for female vocalist of the year. Now this is seriously something to sing about!
The "I Got the Boy" singer has got a girl! People reports that Kramer and her hunky hubby, former NFL player Michael Caussin, welcomed their baby bundle Sunday afternoon in Nashville, Tennessee. "Words can't even begin to describe how much happiness I'm feeling right now," Kramer shared with the magazine. "Holding my healthy and beautiful baby girl in my arms is something that's truly indescribable. Michael and I are so thankful for this wonderful blessing!"
But that wasn't the only blessing bestowed upon the country singer this week. "What a whirlwind of great surprises and wonderful news," Kramer said of her ACM nomination this morning. "I'm overwhelmed with joy after welcoming my beautiful baby girl into the world AND finding out I've been nominated for an ACM Award!"
Pregnancy wasn't the easiest of journeys for Kramer, who announced her mama-to-be status back in August. "The hardest part has been performing," she previously stated. "I have a barf bag on stage and usually am able to get through the concert, but after every show, my sweet assistant Brittni holds my hair as I puke." Now that's some serious dedication!
Although this country songstress seems rightfully obsessed with her new little one, Kramer promises that it won't be too long until she's hitting that stage once again. "I've told my management that six weeks after the baby is born, I'll be ready to go back on the road. Mama's gotta work!" she told Fit Pregnancy and Baby. We can't wait to see the country singer back on stage. Wouldn't little Jolie make the cutest opening act?! (You can never start 'em too young!)
