Blushing bride-to-be Eva Longoria has been dishing on every detail of her engagement ever since her fiancé José "Pepe" Baston popped the question just a few months ago. The duo may not have officially tied the knot yet, but that hasn't prevented Longoria from being in a married state of mind.
In an interview with Us Weekly, the actress revealed that she and Baston have actually "been calling each other husband and wife for a while." "The word fiancé feels like I got demoted," she revealed. "We feel married." Being given a jaw droppingly gorgeous ruby engagement ring isn't what most girls would consider a demotion but, we see Longoria's point.
"What makes my relationship with Pepe so much sweeter is that I don't put pressure on myself or the idea of marriage as much as I did when I was younger," she says. "I wanted to walk down the aisle, I wanted a dress, I wanted the church. Once you realize a wedding isn't a marriage, then you can learn to appreciate it more, and it lessens the expectations when you've gone through it." So it looks like Longoria won't be pulling any bridezilla moves during wedding planning!

Longoria was still exuding that newly engaged glow when she stepped out onto the SAG Awards red carpet for her first public appearance with her brand new fiancé. Her engaged glow was accentuated by that gorgeous ruby red ring and matched her olive-green curve hugging Julien Macdonald gown. We know Longoria hasn't been dress shopping yet, but we hope this dress style is similar to what she wears down the aisle.
Baston popped the question this past December in the middle of the dessert in Dubai. He set up a romantic lounge area with patterned pillows and Persian rugs (it looked like something Aladdin would have put together for Princess Jasmine). The former Desperate Housewives star has been so wrapped up in that beautiful proposal (who wouldn't be?) that she and Baston haven't even started wedding planning. "It was such a surprise. It was in Dubai and it was in the desert. We're still absorbing that moment," Longoria said during an appearance on Today. "I'm still applauding him for how beautiful and amazing it was, then we'll talk about the big fat Mexican wedding."
So while Longoria's "big fat Mexican wedding" may not be on the horizon anytime soon, the two made sure to celebrate their fiancé status with a $10,000 engagement party. They hosted their nearest and dearest at Sass Café in Dubai and celebrated with a Mediterranean-inspired menu and, of course, plenty of champagne.
