Country superstar Carrie Underwood just kicked off her latest tour last Saturday, and while the first night of a tour can be special and exciting for any singer, but for Underwood the night was extra special with a major family milestone. The singer revealed to the crowd that right before the show her son Isaiah Michael had just taken his first steps! The American Idol alumn couldn't help but share her excitement with the crowds and spill on her 11-month-old's exciting news.
"He means the world to me. He took his first steps today in Jacksonville," Underwood told the crowd in an Instagram video a fan took of the show. You can hardly hear her exciting announcement over the cheers of her fans. "She was just leading to her next song and talking about what a big year it has been and how she thought that touring and making albums would be the best thing in her life, but she was wrong, because she had a baby," a concertgoer told Entertainment Tonight.
Making the moment that much sweeter, the "Before He Cheats" singer dedicated a song to her son and husband, Mike Fisher while a slideshow of family pictures played in the background. Underwood and her NHL player hubby Fisher got married back in 2010. The two tied the knot in a charming plantation wedding, the perfect way for Underwood to showcase her southern roots.

This isn't the first time Underwood's gushed about her adorable family, she told Entertainment Tonight that Isaiah, eight-months-old at the time, "He's the sweetest and smiliest baby, I think, ever." Not only is her son the most perfect baby, but from what it sounds like, Fisher is also the perfect doting dad. "I think we're both really good at picking up the slack when the other one is super busy," Underwood told Ellen DeGeneres this fall.
Super busy is the perfect way to describe the country singer's life. On top of kicking off a brand new tour, Underwood is preforming at the 2016 ACM Party for a Cause Festival and is rumored to make a return to the American Idol stage for the show's final season. Even with such a whirlwind life, Underwood makes sure to keep her family at the top of her list. "You just have to make that your number one priority," the singer said. "Of course, this doesn't mean give everything up for your husband, but it does mean that you must make sure your relationship never falls to the wayside." As one half of one of Hollywood's cutest couples, we definitely think Underwood's advice is worth taking!
