Bachelorette Spas for Every Budget

Bachelorette parties have been a long-standing tradition that usually involves sexy LBDs, overpriced clubs and phallic paraphernalia. Obviously, you want to make your last hurrah as a "single" girl a memorable one, but chances are a night of potential debauchery and drama feels a little "been there, done that," particularly if you're a bridesmaid. While there are tons of options for alternative bachelorettes, like a hiking trip in Yosemite or hitting the slopes in Aspen, there's nothing quite like the idea of a spa treatment to get your girlfriends immediately on board for your bash. Leave the feather boa at home and make it a low-key girls' beauty getaway for a few hours, the day or an entire weekend — whatever works for your budget.

Canyon Ranch, Tuscon, Arizona, $$$$$
This all-inclusive health resort is admittedly a splurge, but you'll come back from your retreat feeling completely blissed-out and knowing you got your money's worth. A one-bedroom quad suite starts at $2,960 for three days, depending on the time of the year you go, and includes over 40 complimentary fitness classes and activities, a fully equipped spa, four pools and every single meal. The longer you stay (retreats can be as long as 10 days), the more credits you'll receive to use towards spa and wellness services like yoga, massages and water sports.

Hermès Perfume Library, New York City, $$$$
Located at Brookfield Place in NYC, this new garden-inspired perfume library is more like walking through a really cool beauty museum. Take a multisensory tour of each of the luxe brand's home fragrances, soaps, perfumes and so much more — all while marveling at the concrete, wood and marble architecture of the boutique. Then, if you feel inspired, you and the girls can create a customized Hermèssence 10 ml atomizer, wrapped in buttery leather stamped with your initials (prices start at $395). It takes about four months for your personal fragrance to get mailed back from Paris, so if you can't wait, you can purchase an existing perfume directly from the boutique.

Ten Thousand Waves, Santa Fe, New Mexico, $$$
For a lot less money than a plane ticket to Kyoto, you can get a unique Japanese spa experience at Ten Thousand Waves, a relaxing spa haven tucked on a winding mountain road not far from the popular Santa Fe ski area. Take in the waters in an outdoor, communal hinoki tub overlooking the mountains at sunset ($25 per person for as long as you want) or indulge in a shiatsu-style Ashi Amna foot massage ($63 for 25 minutes) that's said to be an antidote for plantar fasciitis. If you want to make a long weekend out of it, you and your party have the option to stay in one of the 12 Zen-like rooms, which start at $209 per night — and seeing how it's only a 10-minute car ride from the downtown nightlife, we see why you would.

Aire Ancient Baths, New York City, $$$
Located in Tribeca in NYC, this Greek and Roman-inspired bathing experiencing is built with hot, cold, saltwater and propeller jet pools, alongside steam rooms. The space, which was previously served as a textile factory, built in 1883, is lit with candles for an ethereal, cave-like glow. It only allows 20 guests at a time so overcrowding is never an issue and makes it easy to find a space on heated marble benches to sip unlimited tea while you decide which pool to soak in next. A full 90 minutes of thermal bath with aromatherapy will run $77 per person ($87 on weekends) and for $53 more you can tack on a 30-minute massage — a special extra treat for just the bride and her maid of honor, perhaps.

Blow Angels, Los Angeles, $$
Start thinking about the hashtag you'll use to show off a selfie of your hair makeover now. For $700 ($70 per person), you and up to nine of your friends reserve the space to pamper yourself with one of Blow Angels' five signature blowout styles. Each of you will get a complimentary glass of champagne, plus sweet treats, to seriously feel like VIPs.

GlamSquad, Miami, Los Angeles, and New York City, $
In as fast as 90 minutes, hair, makeup and/or nail pros come directly to you and your party in the comfort of your home. Blowouts go for $50 while updos start at $85. Add on makeup for $75 (they also do faux lashes and Temptu airbrushing) and nails (NYC only) for $35, to make it like a full salonexperience. The best part? You can also consider it a trial run for wedding day services if you haven't decided on your hair and makeup team yet.
