This talented singer quickly went from winning...to wedding! Season 9 winner of The Voice, Jordan Smith, recently won over the hearts of millions with his undeniable talent on the hit singing show, but it wasn't until he won the heart of his longtime love, Kristen Denny, by asking for her hand in marriage that he truly needed advice from his Voice coach, Adam Levine. The 22-year-old engaged star recently sat down with Levine to gain some very wise marriage advice!
When it comes to sharing tips on how to maintain a successful marriage, it doesn't get much better than being able to ask one of Hollywood's most doting husbands. After popping the question to his longtime girlfriend, The Voice winner and groom-to-be reached out to the Maroon 5 frontman for some advice on — what else? — marriage.
"Hey Adam, I'm getting married," Smith said in recent clip, according to People. "Got any marriage advice for me, coach?"
Levine quickly responded with a congratulatory message, followed by some wise wedding words. "Congratulations entering the world of marriage, Jordan Smith," Levine said, adding, "Listen to the woman, man. She's always right. Even when you don't always think that's the case, make her feel like it is. Trust me." Well said!
The Voice winner is definitely earning some pre-marriage points when it comes to his fairytale proposal! Smith, who popped the question on New Year's Day, took his forever love to the Top of the Hub in Boston where he treated his bride-to-be to a romantic dinner overlooking the city, People reports. After the romantic dinner for two, Smith revealed that he and his then-girlfriend "went on a ride in a horse-drawn carriage through downtown that led to the Boston Public Garden," in what essentially set the backdrop for his bended-knee-moment. "That's where I knelt on one knee and she said yes!"
