4 Wedding Gifts the Bride Will Love (That Aren't Checks!)

Favors & Gifts, Home & Registry

If you're a believer that a gift card or cash isn't the most personal way to give someone a gift, then you may decide that showing up at a wedding with a card and check isn't something you feel comfortable doing. Most couples look forward to receiving cash from their guests on their wedding day, but it doesn't mean you have to bring that as your gift. If you're looking for alternatives or outside-the-box gifts to give, we have you covered with a list of four wedding gifts that aren't cash (and the couple will love!).

1. A Registry Gift
Usually guests will buy the couple gifts off of their registry for the wedding shower, but if there's anything that hasn't been purchased from their list yet, feel free to purchase it for them. Instead of lugging it with you to the wedding, have the online store ship it directly to their house. That way, the newlyweds wont have to pack it up with them and carry it home after the wedding.

2. Something Personal
If you know the couple well or want to get creative, you can order them something personal and crafty off of a site like Etsy. Whether it's matching towels with their initials or customized glasses, this is a way to add a personal touch to the gift you give them on their wedding day.

3. A D.I.Y. Gift
Take crafting to the next level and make the couple something yourself. This is recommended only if you know the couple very well (and if Pinterest is your thing!). If not, stick with something more simple and practical that you know they will use.

4. Something for the Honeymoon
If you know where the bride and groom are heading for their honeymoon, get them a gift that they can take with them. Maybe it's new luggage or a toiletry bag to get them packed and ready for their trip (or comfortable on their flight!). Alternatively, tickets to a show or event in the location they are going can be a nice twist on a traditional gift as well.
