Country music superstar Jason Aldean and American Idol alumni Brittany Kerr's one-year wedding anniversary is rapidly approaching and it looks like the two are ready to add to their new family.

"We're talkin' about it," Aldean tells Entertainment Tonight. "She's a lot younger than I am, so I gotta make this happen quick. I don't want to be the old dad! It's something we definitely want, at least one kid and possibly two, we'll see. It's something we've talked about a lot. Hopefully in the next couple years." Aldean is no stranger to fatherhood, he has two young daughters, Keeley and Kendyl, from his first marriage.

"My daughters come over, havin' them over there and all of us in the same house, that's sorta my favorite time," he says. Although he didn't say, with a house full of girls we can't help but wonder if Aldean is hoping for a little cowboy to join the family!

Even though Aldean is ready to start gearing up for fatherhood a third time, his current focus is finishing up his "We Were Here Tour". He doesn't have to worry about lonely nights on the road either, Kerr is usually right there with him. "We do everything together," he says. "She's out here all the time, which is great. I don't have to be gone for three or four days a week and be away from each other."

Aldean popped the question to Kerr after two years of dating in 2014 at the San Diego Zoo. The two then spent a little over a year planning for their Mexican nuptials. "This is the best day ever," Aldean told Us Weekly in a statement after the wedding. "I've got my girl here, my friends, my family — it's the best day ever!" With a bride as beautiful as Kerr and the beaches of Mexico as your backdrop, how could it not be?!

The country crooner wasn't one to stand idly by while Kerr did the planning, he was right there planning with her. "Britt gets overwhelmed sometimes, lots of people are pulling on her," Aldean explained to People. "She wants me to love it too, so when she asks I'm happy to give my opinion. Lots of people are pulling on the bride so I'm happy to step in and make a decision if that's what she wants." With such a romantic wedding behind them, there's no doubt these two will have a romantic date or two to celebrate their one-year anniversary!
