At Saturday night's SAG Awards, the red carpet was full of Hollywood's A-listers strutting their stuff in their couture gowns and dapper suits. But the glitterati had to all make room for some serious sparkle in the form of a ruby red engagement ring! Eva Longoria and her brand new fiancé marked the SAG Awards as their first public appearance as an engaged duo, as they stepped onto the red carpet with Eva's new engagement bling in tow.

It was hard to not stop and stare at Longoria when she arrived at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Her stunning Julien Macdonald dress is making the rounds on countless "Best Dressed" lists and it's not hard to see why. The slinky, curve-hugging olive green gown is a true showstopper. Showing off sexy bits of skin here and there, the fabric takes a plunge in both the front and back, with a deep V-neck and a nearly backless cut. The gown's intricate beading definitely was sparkly enough to catch the light and everyone's eyes, but it was the shine off of Eva's bridal bauble and her undeniable newly-engaged glow that stole the spotlight!

"He's amazing, he's gorgeous, and really the kindest human being I've ever met," the Telenovela actress said of her fiancé to People magazine. Back in December, Jose Antonio Baston popped the question to Longoria in a dazzling desert proposal in the sand dunes of Dubai. "He did the whole thing. He had been planning for, like, six months!" the bride-to-be told Entertainment Tonight of the memorable night. "I cried with laughter," she shared. "I was laughing so hard and then it turned into a cry... It was a lot of fun."

We'd be crying happy tears, too, if we were presented with a ruby and diamond beauty like the ring Longoria's been toting!
