Admit it — you've totally dreamt about being Rachel McAdams in The Notebook when she jumps into the gorgeously scruffy Ryan Gosling's arms for a passionate, dramatic kiss in the rain. Some super fans have even tried to recreate that magical on-screen moment off-screen.

Most recently, pop star bride-to-be Christina Aguilera attempted to mimic the iconic smooth with her fiancé Matthew Rutler. The Voice judge's picture-perfect Instagram (below), which shows Aguilera jumping into her fiancé's arms in a rainstorm with her arms wrapped around his neck, is giving us all the feels — and, not that we're bias or anything, but we totally think they nailed The Notebook look. Perhaps these two should consider romantic movie reenactments for their wedding portraits?

The pair has been engaged for two years, but they're not in any rush to walk down the aisle. "Our love is secure enough that we don't need a wedding to prove our love and commitment," she told People. "We are enjoying our daughter, our family and our work for now." The duo welcomed their first child Summer Rain Rutler in August 2014 and Aguilera returned to The Voice as a coach shortly after that. With a whirlwind 2014 and 2015 we're hoping 2016 is the year these two lovebirds walk down the aisle.

Rutler proposed to Aguilera in February 2014, right around Valentine's Day, while the two were away on a romantic vacation. The film producer and songstress had been dating since 2010 — apparently Rutler had been planning the proposal for over a year before finally popping the question. "He has been planning this for a while and was just waiting for the right time — the ring has been done for months. Every single placement of each stone has a reason and meaning," a source told People at the time.

The ring is a multi-stone show stopper that Rutler designed to represent their three-year journey together. "The actual band weaves and intertwines [the] diamonds," the source added. "Every connecting criss-cross symbolizes how their paths crossed...the ring narrows at the base [to] reflect how their bond continues to grow closer and stronger over time. There are nine special multi-color gemstones that you cannot see. They all symbolize something meaningful to the couple. Christina is very spiritual and having the stones touch her actual skin will emit positive energies surrounding her at all times. They represent things like love, protection and healing."
