They may have long ago split, but the 2006 wedding of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes will without a doubt go down as one of the most memorable celebrity weddings, ever. It's been almost 10 years since the Hollywood golden couple walked down the aisle in Italy, but details of the much-publicalized nuptials continue to spill out, even now. Former supermodel Brooke Shields just dished some details on the Cruise/Holmes wedding on Jenny McCarthy's SiriusXM show. Anyone wondering what Katie's 'something old' was?

This isn't the first time someone spilled some unseen secrets from Cruise's Italian nuptials. Back in November, former Scientologist Leah Remini also revealed some details on the epic event, namely Cruise's strange serenade to his bride and the rather bizarre role Scientology played in the whole affair. Shields' memories of that day, however, fare much kinder.

After a very public feud between the Top Gun actor and the model regarding her use of antidepressants, Cruise apologized to Shields and then had his fiancé personally invite her to their over-the-top nuptials. "She said, 'It just wouldn't feel right without you there,'" Shields recalls. "And I said 'Okay, I'll bring the something old — as long as it's not me!'" Please! Shields is practically ageless in our book.

So just what was the actress' 'something old'? A beautiful vintage enamel compact, Shields revealed. But getting it to the bride-to-be turned out to be no easy task! "I felt like I was 007, or I was Bourne. It was so much security. It was all dark, and it was quiet." Ugh, we wish we were there for Shields' Mission Impossible!

Despite the fight between the A-listers just months prior to the big day, Shields still looks back fondly on the event of the early aughts. "People were so up in arms about my saying yes," the model remembers. "First of all, if you get invited to that wedding, you go. And I had no malice in my heart. It was still a wedding."
