A New Year's Eve wedding gives brides, and guests, the perfect excuse to step things up with an all out glam look to match their glitzy reception attire. There are no rules to adhere to in a NYE reception besides to be absolutely fabulous because after all, it's a New Year's Eve party too. With lots more glitz and glam expected, here are some beauty looks you might want to try for a New Year's Eve wedding, or just for your night on the town.

(Above) Statement-Making Curls: Updos are almost sacred to bridal beauty for the wedding ceremony, however it's normal for the bride to want to let her hair down and party at the reception. It's not just a wedding, it's New Year's Eve, the biggest party of the year, and with a big party comes big hair! Ditch the updo and dance the night away with 1970s-inspired flowing curls. Once the ball drops everyone is going to party like they are at Studio 54 anyway.

Crystal Lash Line: Glitter and gold lids gained popularity in 2015 so they are sure to be a hit on New Year's Eve. Try adding small shine reflective embellishments to your beauty look. Instead of glitter use a crystal lash line along your bottom lid to keep your NYE wedding beauty unique and classy. The crystals will give the illusion of a heavy lash line and add an allure that will draw everyone's attention, especially your new husband's.

Red Glossed Lips: While you may think New Year's is all about confetti, gold, glitter, and anything else that makes you look like a disco ball, this special night is also a night of full on glamour. You still want to create a classic beauty look that's not too gaudy and remains timeless for years to come. Instead of going totally edgy with a bold color (no gold lips allowed) how about trying a spin on the traditional red lip by adding a glittering shine to it. That shine can be a glitter red lipstick like Kat Von D's Studded Kiss lipstick in Adora, or if you're not into glitter you can try a glass glossed red lip. You can easily achieve this lip by first applying a base like MAC's Red Lipmix then top it off with either MAC's clear Lipglass, a 2000s girl staple, or MAC's Vamplify in Suggestive.
