Ever since Whitney Port announced her engagement to Tim Rosenman back in 2013, we've been dreaming of the fashion-forward wedding dress she'd surely rock down the aisle. And after sneaking peeks of her shopping trips, hearing her dish on some major wedding day details, and seeing her — not one but two — totally epic bachelorette bashes, we just knew that this dress would be a major stunner. The lady is a style icon, after all. And boy, we were right on that! Pictures of Port in her custom-made confection are hitting the 'net and her dreamy dress is just as California cool as her sunny attitude.
We had no doubts that the super stylish Port would go modern for her November 7 Palm Springs nuptials, but this fancy frock is just out of this world! Designed in collaboration with Ashi Studio, the dress is a total standout and unbelievably unique — just like the beautiful bride herself. "At the start, Whitney saw a dress from the latest couture collection and she got inspired for an idea for her wedding dress," Mohammad Ashi of the fashion house told Us Weekly. "It was inspired by a vintage chandelier from Venice and Florence." Grand and opulent, the couture creation was made modern with an edgy waterfall hemline, long train, illusion sleeves, and silver embroidery — a few major trends we saw on the Bridal Fashion Week runways this season. Add in the reality TV star's pretty pearl drop earrings and chic floral appliqué heels, you've got one bold bridal look! Ready to fawn over the fabulous photo?!
Um, can you say legs for days? The high-low cut showed off Port's model-like legs and her simple hairstyle, accented with a bit of natural greenery, let her beauty shine through. But was there ever any doubt that it would?
We weren't the only one dying for a glimpse of this gown. Even Port's now-hubby was kept in the dark! "She looked amazing and her dress was so spectacular," Rosenman sweetly shared. "There was so much buildup to what her dress was going to look like because we kept it secret. I didn't think it could possibly match the buildup, but I was blown away. She looked fantastic." You said it, Rosenman — we couldn't possibly agree more!
