What's the first thing a gal does when she gets engaged (after taking the perfect #engagementringselfie)? Obsess over Pinterest's elaborate DIYs, rustic barn weddings, and gorgeous gowns, of course! If you've been busying yourself pinning to your Pinterest wedding board ever since he popped the question (or even before then — we won't judge!), you're not alone! But even if your groom doesn't get your obsession as much as we do, these guys certainly do! Buzzfeed set five men loose on the wonderful world of Pinterest so they could create their dream wedding. And yes, it's hilarious!
"I'm kind of overwhelmed, but I'm kind of super excited." Yup, that's basically wedding planning in a nutshell! These guys really got a taste of what dreaming up a Pinterest-perfected wedding is all about. First, there was some confusion about what Pinterest actually was. "I think Pinterest is a place where women go for all their wildest dreams to come true," thought one guy. Again, not totally off base! And then the fun really began. "There's literally every single thing you can think of for weddings," they realized. Oh yes, yes there is...
When the guys got down to the nitty gritty of planning and pinning, you could really start to see where their priorities lie. "Oh wow! This is cool!" one exclaimed. "A 'Pimp Your Cupcake' bar. That's done." One guy was totally feeling a woodsy wedding theme: "I want to see more cool things I can do with pieces of wood!" Country girls, now this is a man who shares your rustic dreams! And another jumped on the 'pets in weddings' trend with a rather interesting (and probably dangerous) twist. "What if I got a tiger for my wedding?" one man wondered. "Oh my god, yes! I'm getting a baby tiger and a baby wolf and they're going to bring the rings down." Umm, you might want to check with your bride first on that one. Just a suggestion.
As hilarious — and adorable — their observations were, all in all, it seems like these men finally understand the Pinterest obsession of so many brides — us included! "I can send my best man my Pinterest board and be like, 'I want exactly this.'" Maids of honor around the world can vouch for that!
