If you're looking for a non-traditional wedding locale that can also be a blank canvas for your creativity, these warehouse-like Los Angeles venues are just the ticket. With lofty ceilings, open-to-the-outdoors vibes and central locations, these converted spaces are cool, creative and add a little bit of urban LA to your big day.

Gone are the days when this site was a 1980s smog-check center! SmogShoppe is now a 100% solar-powered, private 6500 square foot California-vibe event space. If your big day is during the warmer months, this Culver City spot has over 2,000 square feet of outdoor areas filled with desert plants, vertical gardens and chic vintage furnishings — perfect if you want a garden wedding with an urban twist! LA Industrial Wedding Venues Elysian

The Elysian
Described as "a little gem of a gathering space," the Elysian is in a remote-feeling part of Los Angeles called the Elysian Valley. In reality, it's right next to the LA river and adjacent to the hipster neighborhood of Silver Lake. Situated on a nondescript industrial street, once you pass through the front gates, you'll be greeted by courtyard full of bamboo and shrubs before entering a light, breezy warehouse space with mid-century furniture pieces. Also, make sure to check out their IG page since they do a critically acclaimed pop-up restaurant on Thursday and Friday nights which is reservation only; a good way to get more of a feel for it before making it your big day spot.

Studio 1342
Used a lot for photo shoots, this sweet spot also makes an amazing wedding location thanks to it's fantastic outdoor area. It also has an outdoor stage if you're planning on having a live band as well as an outdoor built-in bar. Quirky decor details like a vintage hubcap collage on one wall and colorful wall murals on others, teamed with Eames chairs and bunches of SoCal palm trees make this urban LA space cool, intimate and unique. Huron Substation Located in the up-and-coming Cypress Park area of Los Angeles, this original electrical substation got a makeover a few years and has been booked solid ever since. With soaring ceilings, barn doors, original brick walls and enormous windows, this multi-levlel space is full of natural light and character. There's also a cool outdoor area, landscaped with California succulents and an art deco fountain making it easy to put your own style stamp on this cultural monument with minimal effort. LA Industrial Wedding Venues Millwork

This old livery space in the booming downtown LA Arts District was re-imagined at the beginning of 2015 into an airy event space that still maintains serious vintage charm thanks to lots of original brick and wood work. There's an interior courtyard which could either be used for the ceremony or where guests dance it up during the reception. The vibe could only be described as industrial rustic and it's easy for out-of-town guests to check into one of the many downtown hotels. Our suggestion: Urban spaces often come with limited parking so we recommend hiring a valet for this spot.
