Actor Josh Duhamel and Fergie have become one of Hollywood's longest-lasting couples and yet after nine years and one son, Duhamel can still recall the first time he met the singer like it was yesterday.
On The Late Late Show with James Corden, Duhamel revealed he was so nervous to meet the singer who would later become his wife, that for the first time all he could think to say was "You're hot."
"I had a bit of a crush on her before I ever met her," Duhamel tells Corden and other Late Late Show guest Kelly Osbourne.
As if that's not the most adorable thing Duhamel could have said, Duhamel gets even more swoon-worthy "I was really nervous and that was my moment of truth. I laid out my outfit the night before, which I've never done in my life," Duhamel said. Let's be honest, can you imagine anything sweeter than a nervous Duhamel going through his closet to pick the perfect outfit to impress his now-wife?!
Duhamel and Fergie met on the set of his show Las Vegas after he asked producers if they could invite The Black Eyed Peas on the show, Us Weekly reports.
Corden couldn't help but poke fun at Duhamel's line telling the actor "It's a good job you're pretty," Corden tells Duhamel. "If I go up to a girl and go 'you're hot' she's like 'right can someone have him removed please?' If he says it [pointing at Duhamel] girls are like 'shut up! I'm totally not, I'm just a regular person!"
Although we're not sure we agree with Corden, (who doesn't love a funny guy with a British accent?) I think we can all agree that a simple, sweet — and honest! — pickup line is definitely the best kind of pickup line.
