The transition from fiancé to newlywed is an exciting time for any couple. There's the first time you get to call your significant other husband or wife, the first time someone calls you by your new last name, and even seeing that band on your ring finger. For British actor Eddie Redmayne and his wife Hannah Bagshawe, the excitement was boosted by a Golden Globe Award and an Oscar earlier this year.
The Danish Girl actor chatted with E! News about his upcoming one-year anniversary and revealed he and wife Hannah are still "very much" in the honeymoon phase. While the adorable actor was beaming when talking about his new marriage we also learned he isn't exactly prepared for his upcoming anniversary. Academy Award winners, they're just like us.
"I have to think of something to do," the Oscar winner told E! News. "Isn't there a whole sequence you're meant to do?" Traditionally, the first wedding anniversary is the paper anniversary, which gives the actor plenty of room for creativity. Framed photos, a journal filled with sweet notes, concert tickets, the list goes on and on.
Redmayne popped the question to Bagshawe after they had been dating for three years. The two were married last December in an intimate ceremony at the Babington House in Somerset, England. The duo's "winter wonderland" themed nuptials included a small group of family and friends where the pair exchanged vows during a romantic candle-lit ceremony.

Married life seems to have come easy to the duo except for one minor incident when The Theory of Everything star actually misplaced his wedding band! Redmayne admitted to being a teeny bit scared of telling his new wife about the missing ring. "I sort of skirted around it, but anyway I like the new one," Redmayne said, adding: "I'm loving the first year of marriage. I'm a lucky man."
Redmayne and Bagshawe had an action packed first year of marriage that included the pair postponing their honeymoon because of Redmayne's crazy-busy award season. The actor ended up winning a Golden Globe, a British Academy of Film and Television Arts Award, and an Oscar. Don't worry, the actor made sure to take his wife on a "proper honeymoon" telling the U.K.'s Best Daily that "The plan is to go and sit on a beach somewhere with her [Hannah], She certainly deserves it. I'll get a few more freckles."
After a whirlwind first year of marriage, the pair is looking forward to a little relaxation "We're just going to be at home," he said of their Christmas plans. "It's been such a frantic year."
