With 4.5 million Instagram followers and a blog that's an international obsession, the The Blonde Salad's Chiara Ferragni is now setting her sights on wedding style — lucky us! Ferragni, who also happens to be the new brand ambassador for the luxe wedding dress label, Pronovias, opened up to BRIDES in our December 2015/January 2016 issue (on newsstands now!) about all things bridal style.
Chiara brings a stylist's eye to her everyday life and wardrobe, so it's no surprise that her first task as Pronovias brand ambassador was to put her stamp on a handful of the Barcelona-based label's bridal looks. "I chose the dresses I immediately pictured myself wearing," says Ferragni, who grew up in Cremona, Italy, and runs her $8 million brand from Los Angeles. "But then I used accessories to embody different types of women and wedding ceremonies."
A minimalist long-sleeved fitted sheath is accessorized with an oversized blazer and a pair of dramatic gold cuffs "to represent femininity." A lace mermaid dress is teamed with a white shrunken denim jacket "for a girl who says, 'I don't take myself too seriously and am fearless about going against the rules.'" And an elaborate tulle ball skirt goes "young and casual" with a simple white shirt.

Her favorite bride of all time might be Grace Kelly, but you won't catch Ferragni copy-cating anyone's bridal style. Especially on your wedding day, says Ferragni, "Express yourself. Tell us who you are. If you would never wear pearls in real life, don't wear them when you get married."
When the time comes for her own wedding (she's in a long-term relationship with photographer Andrew Arthur), that might mean going barefoot on the beach in a floaty white gown that has "a hippie touch," along with loose hair and natural makeup. Whether that's on a small Hawaiian island, in Provence, France, or in the Tuscan countryside (Ferragni's dream wedding destinations!), "the only rule for that day," she says, "is that you must be comfortable with what you wear." And there's nothing trendier than that!
