You'd think not one but two sandy-beach destination bachelorette parties would put a bride-to-be's mind at ease, but not Whitney Port. The fashion designer, who's soon set to wed fiancé Tim Rosenman, is in the throes of wedding planning. And the nonstop planning has the star ever-so-slightly stressed.
"I love the creative part of planning, but there's just so many little details that I feel like it's just hard to balance the planning and work because I'm kind of a micromanager," the 30-year-old told People. "So I want to be involved in everything and make all of the decisions, but it's a lot."
Sitting down at her Martini & Rossi-sponsored bridal shower, The Hills alum told the magazine, "we're in the throes of all the craziness now. It's been a mix of so many different things ... I just want the weekend to come and I want the weekend to last forever."
But despite the stress, Port isn't ready to turn over the planning reins to Rosenman, she admits. "Everything that he has his hands in, I do, too," she told People. "He hasn't 100 percent owned any of the tasks for the wedding."
Her most recent wedding-related task may have been a trial hair-and-makeup session, the romantic results of which she shared on Instagram. The twisted, low chignon was designed by 901 Too Salon's Anthony Holguin, who described the look for Us Weekly as "messy but cool."
You can create the bridal look, Holguin says, by adding soft waves with a one-inch curling iron and keeping them in place with a texturizing spray. Then, in two-inch sections, pin the waves into place starting at the nape of your neck and working your way up, "leaving the top smooth and full of volume," he shared.
But we've got a few more details beyond her gorgeous wedding day look. Port has told People she's "most excited for the ceremony. We're saying our own vows, so I'm excited for that part because that's what means the most to me."
She's also excited to hit the dance floor with about 200 guests, and "have a good time and hang out with all of our favorite people in the world because how often do you get all of those people at the same place on one night?" she said.
Like her bachelorette parties, Port said, their wedding will also be a destination event. And we can't wait to see where in the world it is!
