Why do we love Bridal Fashion Week so much? Because we get to witness all of the emerging wedding dress trends debut on the runway, of course! And this season's blooming details (pun intended) were 3D floral appliqués.
3D appliqués are not necessarily brand new. Last season, they were a hit, with laser-cut floral outlines popping off an array of silhouettes. But this season, these three-dimensional add-ons took a whimsical turn. Soft organza, crystals, and color, even, made the dainty additions lifelike — and proved that florals never get old.

Whether it was the tightly sewn together blooms on a long-sleeve Monique Lhuillier gown or the wispy petals on an off-the-shoulder neckline at Inbal Dror, each of these delicate embellishments breathed fresh air into these designs. Hayley Paige opted for neon hues for her florals, while Naeem Khan made them blush and shimmering. We can't forget Reem Acra or Rivini by Rita Vienieris's, either, whose combinaition of translucent layers and these flower adornments made for a modern finish. Even Amsale's more miniature florals still had a major visual impact.
To hep you better visualize this lively trend, we've whipped together a special runway recap of some of our favorite 3D floral wedding dresses from this season's bridal runways. With the models walking the runway and close-ups on the details, you really get a good look at these blooming embellishments.
