Movies often teach us a lot about weddings before we ever experience our first one. They school us on how the day flows, starting with the bridesmaids and the bride tip toing down the aisle followed by a night of busting out your finest moves on the dance floor. So if you're a bridesmaid for the very first time — or even if you've been a bridesmaid before! — and you're looking to brush up on your knowledge about your duties and weddings in general, here are the top five movies you should watch before the big day arrives.

If you're in need of a good laugh and a fun look at a chaotic bridal party, get comfy on the couch and watch this movie before it's your turn to kick off your bridesmaid duties.

The bridesmaids in the movie are a little over the top and seem to always be wearing matching outfits, even before the actual wedding day.

3. 27 Dresses
This may hit close to home for all of the perpetual bridesmaids out there, but if you're looking for tips on how to be a loyal bridesmaid, this movie will teach you that. The main character even finds herself at two weddings, in one night, just to be there to support her friends.
