We always know to expect nothing but the best from Marchesa's presentations, so when we arrived at the sun-drenched loft during the picturesque "golden hour" we were overwhelmed by the beauty of the intricately detailed gowns. Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig already hinted that the collection would be "featherlight" and the tiny layers of tulle and daintily embroidered illusion cap sleeves and open backs certainly spoke to that inspiration.

"Marchesa Bridal Fall 16 introduces an allure of featherlight elements coming together to embody the collection's ethereal essence," the design house's inspiration statement reads. "Cascading layers of illusion lace are gracefully paired with sheer, open-backs and cut-out details, creating such an airy feeling they seem to blur the line between dreams and reality." True that!

One of our favorite looks from the presentation included an impeccably embellished form-fitting mermaid number with a V-neck and thick sleeveless straps. The ornate nature of the details and it's lightweight skirt made for a both ethereal and decadent look.

The collection wasn't without a hefty does of glamour, of course. Marchesa's showstopper, a breezy tulle ball gown skirt pin-tucked together in cloud like layers, was completely contrasted by bejeweled chains layered atop the bodice.

Marchesa also had to take the opportunity to show off their incredible bridal jewels and new shoes, which was done, in classic Marchesa fashion, in the midst of flowers and branches, making the already romantic environment feel that much more breathtaking.
