Sure, there will be nights on your honeymoon when you want to hang the "Do Not Disturb" sign early. But for those evenings when you aren't ready for the celebration to end just because the sun is setting, consider one of these options:

1. A Table for Two by the Sea
Many romance-focused beach resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico will set up a table for two — complete with tiki torches — right on the sand, and serve you course by course from the restaurant. You can toast to the sound of the surf and, if you're lucky, enjoy the moonlight.

2. An Evening Swim
Plenty of resorts keep their pools open late, so you can watch the sunset — or linger well afterward — and enjoy the warm, summer night from the comfort of the pool. If you're in a destination that chills way down after dark, consider seeking out a hot tub instead.

3. A Beach Bar
In the Caribbean, there are a variety of beach bars with feet-in-the-sand approach to nightlife that serve locals, resort guests, and yachters alike. Some of the better ones can only be reached by boat — such as Foxy's on Jost Van Dyke and Cow Wreck on Anegada — so if you're staying in the Caribbean, ask if your property ever does boat ride drop off and pick ups at these hot spots.

4. A Couple's Massage
While the spa may close around dinner time, a lot of resorts offer in-room massages and might even be willing to open the spa up late for a couple who asks nicely (and tips properly). If you want to relax this way after dark, without missing any of your pool or beach time, call ahead before you arrive and ask if it's something that can be arranged.

5. Make S'mores
In some parts of the world (such as The Hamptons in New York), you're allowed to set up your own bonfire on the beach and toast marshmallows. Other resorts (such as Amangiri in Utah, The Phoenician in Arizona, and Lake Placid Lodge in New York) have their own fire pits on property and will deliver the ingredients and tools to you so you don't have to DIY the whole extravaganza. Either way, it's a moment you won't forget.
