Whitney Port is a fashion designer, a former reality star, a quintessential California girl, and the new spokeswoman for Wella haircare. She also happens to be a bride-to-be who is currently knee-deep in wedding planning. So naturally, we took this as an opportunity to ask her basically everything about her own big-day beauty plans. Read on as she chats about her fitness regimen, her wedding-day manicure shade, and the one must-have product she's already planning to stash in her day-of clutch.
Where are you looking for hair and makeup inspiration for your wedding?
"I'm on Pinterest a lot. But I've honestly gained inspiration everywhere, from working in the fashion industry to just living in Los Angeles. And celebrity wise, I love Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, Audrey Hepburn, Bianca Jagger, and Lara Stone."
What is your all-time favorite hair and makeup look that you've worn on the red carpet?
"This [the above photo from the 2010 CFDA Awards] was just a very simple blowout, but it's so chic because it goes with everything from a gown to a T-shirt and jeans."
So pretty! You do seem to favor minimal, natural hair and makeup in your day-to-day life. Do you think you'll stick to that for your wedding day?
"I think I'll definitely go for minimal makeup, but I might pair it with a more structured hairstyle. I'm really not sure yet! I'm trying on the muslin for my dress today, so depending on the fit and shape of the dress, I'll figure out the best hairstyle to go with it."
What about switching up your hair and makeup from the ceremony to reception — do you think you'll do that?
"I love changing up my look, so I really like that idea of corresponding your looks to your mood and overall aesthetic."

What's the plan for your wedding-day mani and pedi?
"I think I may go dark! I like the dichotomy of dark nails with a white dress."
Are you amping up your beauty regimen with any special treatments?
"I have been going to my facialist, Nicole Hirschman every six weeks for the past couple of months. I've also started to go to Dr. John Diaz to get HydraFacials and Nurse Jamie for peels."
What about fitness?
"I am just starting to really focus on that. I try to work out every day. I'm a member of Class Pass, so I've been doing different workouts to target different muscle groups, like spinning, yoga, ElliptiFit, and boxing."
What product will you carry with you on the day of your wedding?
"In case I need to freshen up my hair or add bit of volume, a dry shampoo, like Wella Professionals EIMI Dry Me, will be coming with me."
What's your idea of a bridal beauty look that a bride won't regret 10 years from now?
"Pretty waves with a center part and dewy, clean makeup with peach blush, nude lips, and shimmery eye makeup."
And your biggest bridal beauty rule?
"Do what suits your style. I always say if you're confident in your look — if you feel like it expresses your personality — you'll look your best."
